Alicia Suskin Ostriker, PhD, is an acclaimed Jewish feminist
author, critic and poet. She is the author of seven books of poetry and several
works of literary criticism, including Feminist Revision and the Bible
(Blackwell, 1993). Her most recent book, The Nakedness of the Fathers:
Biblical Visions and Revisions (Rutgers UP, 1994) presents an angry, funny,
highly provocative contemporary woman's re-reading of the Bible. Alicia's poems
and reviews are widely published in journals of note, and she is the recipient
of many awards for her writing. She lives in Princeton, NJ, with her husband
Jerry, and teaches English and creative writing at Rutgers University.
